Atlanta Oral Surgery Specialist
Dr. Worley is the Atlanta oral surgery specialist who has been providing excellent care to patient clients for over 14 years. He has gained a reputation among professional colleagues for leading coordinated Team doctor approaches that have delivered functionally and cosmetically pleasing solutions to some of the most challenging dental disabilities. Gentleness, professionalism, and high quality are traits that have prompted so many previous patient clients to refer their family members and friends for care.
After graduating 2nd in his class with honors from the Medical College of Georgia's Dental School in 1988, he completed four years of hospital-based residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Medical College of Virginia (MCV). As chief resident he was honored to be invited to complete a concentrated (two year) medical degree (M.D.) program, which began at the conclusion of his residency training.
After medical school he moved to Santa Barbara, California for a 12 month internship in General Surgery; this experience reinforced knowledge that he gained in OMF residency and matured his understanding of wound healing throughout the body, and especially for patients with complicated medical problems.
Finally he had the privilege to be accepted into a 12 month Fellowship program at the Center for Corrective Jaw Surgery, a prolific private practice led by Drs. William Arnett and James Tamborello (also located in Santa Barbara, CA). There he worked hand-in-hand with two of the most experienced & innovative OMF Surgeons in the nation. Dr. Arnett is one of the most skilled Orthognathic Surgeons in the world, while Dr.Tamborello (a no less gifted surgeon) sub-specialized in Implant Dentistry.
Marietta GA Dental Surgeon
His experience with these two surgeons provided an invaluable "jump-start" to his knowledge base and inspired him to become the premiere Marietta GA dental surgeon. As time has passed he's come to realize how blessed he was to have received so much wise instruction before his private practice even began. The gratitude that he has for all his mentors is passed on by way of the exceptional care that his Team provides.
East Cobb Oral Surgeon
In 1996 he returned home to his native Cobb County, Georgia to begin his practice as an East Cobb oral surgeon. This closed a 16 year period of intensive education that began at age 18. Besides gaining a great deal of experience, he had the privilege of seeing countless patients receive dramatic, transforming, life-changing treatment.

Personal
Dr. Worley was born and spent his childhood in Cobb County, Georgia. Raised in a rural setting near the base of Kennesaw Mountain, he grew up enjoying playing in the woods and creeks, with his brothers and cousins, swimming, fishing and just roaming the countryside. In high school and college he spent his summers earning income for school; he worked for residential home builders, gaining exposure to the various subcontractors "specialties". From this experience he was fortunate to learn many Life Skills that would germinate into a love for "handyman" projects in later years.
During residency training, he gained the unmerited gift of a life partner, as he won the heart of a general surgery/trauma nurse, who he married in 1990. After completing his education in Georgia, Virginia, and California, they returned to Cobb County in 1996 where they have lived since then with their three children. Dr. Worley is active in his local church, where he serves as a deacon. In his spare time he enjoys his children's sporting events, reading, and tinkering with the landscape around his home. Misguided by the belief that he is somewhat "handy", he has persisted in juggling a host of home projects over the years; currently he is enamored with the promise of Drip Irrigation.
He is blessed to have been given the knowledge that he is a sinner saved by God's grace. The longer he lives and the more knowledge he acquires, the more humbled he feels and the more clearly he sees the hand of our Creator in every detail of life. It is his desire (though frequently falling short) to consistently model the fruit of the Holy Spirit to patients/clients and to team members: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace."
